I spent my career dealing with attorneys, so I had high expectations for someone who had both expertise and a willingness to work closely with me. When I filed for an uncontested divorce, I retained another attorney who didn’t agree my input was necessary, or that I should be kept abreast of matters. Fortunately, a friend put me in touch with Ted. The divorce ended up being contested, along with every sentence in the Property Settlement Agreement. It dragged on for two years.Ted kept me informed and listened to my concerns. His expertise and dealings with other attorneys and members of the Court made an obvious difference. His down-to-earth manner and sense of humor made it much easier to get through a difficult time. The costs were high, but Ted did what he could to keep them manageable. There are no “winners” in a divorce, but we prevailed and even got most of my attorney fees back. The outcome wouldn’t have been the same without Ted’s help.

Ted Butler was the attorney my wife hired to represent her in a contentious child custody and divorce case, which has been fraught with conflict. Initially, I harbored reservations about Mr. Butler, given that part of my ex-wife's strategy involved attempts to have me arrested, file multiple protective orders against me, and accuse me of spousal and child abuse. While it seemed initially that Ted Butler was complicit in this strategy, it became apparent over time that he may not have been fully informed about the complete truth, plans, or actions of his client. Throughout the ongoing divorce proceedings, I have come to believe that Ted Butler is an honest individual who strives to do his best for his clients. I am convinced that without Ted Butler's representation, my ex-wife's outcomes in court would have been significantly worse.

As a former military combat veteran, my ex-wife consistently uses PTSD against me, despite my disability being rated at only 10 percent. It was a central component of her argument that I posed a danger to her and our children due to PTSD. While Ted Butler vigorously advocated for his client, he did not exploit my military service against me in court, despite my ex-wife's persistence in doing so.

"She’s an absolute firecracker and her mind moves a mile a millisecond."

Id like to start out by staying this woman is incredible. I was awarded sole physical custody of my very small breastfed baby, with the father having visitation on a “step up” plan, like I had proposed to the judge. Me and the father split months before our child was even born. I was suggesting mediation for months with the father constantly shooting it down, then I was served with papers when babe was 3 months old. Im a breastfeeding mother, so babe can’t be away from me for very long. While I recognize babe needs his father in his life, his need to eat properly was Ms O’Neals main concern, even though it seemed father could not grasp that and just wanted 50/50 shared custody or bust. Ms O’Neal was compassionate, very easy and comfortable to work with. Speaking with her almost didn’t even feel like a business transaction, it felt more like talking with a really good friend. She was my voice when I couldn’t find mine. She grounded me often, told it how it was and gave me realistic expectations, even when I didn’t want to hear it, when I needed to be humbled. As a working single mom, I know attorneys do not come cheap. Even more so, GREAT attorneys don’t come any cheaper. I had to have some help from family and friends. But if you find yourself in the situation I did, I would put my trust in this one. She’s an absolute firecracker and her mind moves a mile a millisecond.
